The Certina DS Action Diver 38mm Powermatic 80 C048.807.11.051.00 debuted in 2025 as part of a new, more compact execution of Certina’s professional dive watch line. Measuring 38mm in diameter and 13.22mm in thickness, the stainless steel case is paired with a unidirectional ceramic bezel and rated to 300 metres of water resistance in accordance with ISO 6425:2018. A screwed crown and domed sapphire crystal with single-sided anti-reflective coating complete the external construction.
The black dial is designed for clarity and contrast, featuring applied hour markers and hands treated with Super-LumiNova. A date aperture is positioned at 3 o’clock, while the ceramic bezel carries a 60-minute diving scale. Internally, the watch is powered by the automatic ETA Powermatic 80.611 calibre, which provides a power reserve of approximately 80 hours. The movement incorporates a Nivachron balance spring to improve resistance to magnetic fields and enhance long-term rate stability.
This reference also introduces Certina’s updated DS Concept Extreme Shock Resistance system, reinforcing the brand’s longstanding “Double Security” philosophy. In this configuration, the DS Action Diver 38mm presents a restrained, utilitarian interpretation of a modern ISO-certified dive watch.
