Inside ticks the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B31, the brand’s first in-house three-hand automatic movement. Introduced in 2024, this COSC-certified caliber offers a 78-hour power reserve and delivers hours, minutes, central seconds, and a date display at 6 o’clock.
While staying true to the DNA of the original 1957 Superocean Ref. 1004, this 44mm model embraces contemporary updates. The arrow-shaped hour hand, spear minute hand, and pointed indexes are distinctive design cues carried over from the original, refined here for clarity and balance. Subtle tweaks to the case profile and bracelet integration result in improved ergonomics and a more streamlined fit.
