The IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Constant Force Tourbillon IW5905-03 debuted in 2026 as a manually wound Big Pilot’s Watch in 18-carat Armor Gold, combining a 46.2 mm case with a constant force tourbillon, Double Moon display, and black-and-gold presentation.
Its case is crafted in 18-carat Armor Gold and measures 46.2 mm in diameter. The watch is fitted with a sapphire glass case back and paired with a black rubber strap featuring an Alcantara inlay and a folding clasp in 18-carat Armor Gold.
The dial is black and features a louvred, ring-shaped structure. Gold-plated hands filled with Super-LumiNova are used for the time display. At 4 o’clock is the power reserve indicator, while at 2 o’clock is IWC’s Double Moon display, showing the moon as seen from both the Northern and Southern hemispheres. The moon-phase display is geared to deviate by one day after 577.5 years.
At 9 o’clock is the constant force tourbillon, combining a tourbillon with IWC’s patented constant force mechanism. This mechanism disengages the escapement from the direct flow of power through the gear train and transmits even impulses of force to the escape wheel, maintaining a more consistent balance amplitude as the torque in the mainspring declines.
Inside is the IWC-manufactured calibre 94800, a manually wound movement with two barrels and a power reserve of 96 hours. In this reference, the movement is fully blackened and visible through the sapphire glass case back.
