The IWC Ingenieur Tourbillon 41 IW3459-01 debuted in 2026 as the first model in the Ingenieur collection to feature a flying minute tourbillon. Limited to 100 pieces, it combines the Gérald Genta-derived Ingenieur design with an 18-carat 5N gold case and bracelet, an olive green dial, and the IWC-manufactured calibre 82905. Its case measures 41.6 mm in diameter and 12.1 mm in thickness. The case, integrated bracelet, bezel, crown protection, and crown are crafted from 18-carat 5N gold. The five functional screws securing the bezel are made from 18-carat Armor Gold. The case, bezel, and bracelet links are satin-finished with polished edges. The watch is fitted with a screw-in crown, a convex sapphire crystal with antireflective coating on both sides, and a transparent sapphire case back. Water resistance is rated to 10 bar. The dial is olive green and features the characteristic Ingenieur “Grid” pattern. The hands are gold-plated, and the appliques are made of solid gold and set individually by hand. At 6 o’clock is the flying minute tourbillon, suspended from gold-coated bridges. The tourbillon consists of 56 parts, weighs 0.635 grams, rotates once per minute, and incorporates an integrated tourbillon stop for precise setting. The pallet lever and escape wheel are treated with Diamond Shell technology. Inside is the IWC-manufactured calibre 82905, an automatic movement with Pellaton winding and a power reserve of 80 hours. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and uses 25 jewels. Components of the winding system subject to high stress are made from zirconium oxide ceramic, including the automatic wheel and clicks in black ceramic and the rotor bearing in white ceramic. The automatic bridge and rotor are gold-plated and decorated with Geneva stripes, and the oscillating mass carries a solid gold Probus Scafusia medallion. The watch is fitted with an integrated 18-carat 5N gold bracelet and a butterfly folding clasp.
