About this watch

The IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Staffel 11 IW3891-12 debuted in 2025 as a limited edition of 250 pieces dedicated to Fliegerstaffel 11, a fighter squadron of the Swiss Air Force. Established in 1925 and currently based at Meiringen Air Base, Staffel 11 operates F/A-18 Hornet jets and is a full member of the NATO Tiger Association, an alliance of squadrons whose emblems feature tigers and who convene annually for “Tiger Meets.” These gatherings are known for their solidarity exercises and for aircraft decorated in distinctive tiger stripe patterns. The 44.5 mm case is executed in black zirconium oxide ceramic, paired with a titanium case back engraved with the Staffel 11 emblem. The black dial incorporates a subtle tone-on-tone tiger stripe motif, a discreet visual link to the squadron’s Tiger Association heritage. Yellow highlights appear on the small seconds hand at 9 o’clock, the numerals on the date disc, and the chronograph pushers — an accent color often associated with Staffel 11 in Tiger Meet liveries. Powering the watch is the IWC-manufactured 69380, an automatic chronograph movement protected by a soft-iron inner cage for resistance against magnetic fields. The 69380 runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a power reserve of approximately 46 hours. The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Staffel 11 IW3891-12 is fitted with a black rubber strap featuring the EasX-CHANGE® system for quick strap changes, secured by a titanium pin buckle.
